Ministry of Concern Update

With all of us more isolated lately, communication has been a bit harder. To catch you up, here’s an overview of some of ways church has looked like inside, and outside, the buildings walls.

•  Our phone is still ringing with requests for help during these difficult times.  Your over the top giving to this ministry have allowed our church to keep open hands even with closed doors.   We are connecting with those with housing and groceries requests.

•  We have hosted Walmart and Second Harvest twice allowing them to generously provide groceries for hundreds of families.  The increased need during this time was evident and our prayers continue for our communities.

•  Unique times provide opportunity for unique ministries.  Pastor Rob has been very busy serving as an advocate for Migrant workers in our valley through the Covid crisis.  God has placed him in the position to pray and meet the needs of the sick, communicate with their families in Mexico, discuss issues with our mayors and help provide education on how to handle this crisis well.   Ministry of Concern has been able to provide food packages, Bibles and masks in support of this.

•  Keep watch for a possible new ministry in this area you can be a part of!  Also, we have need of more masks.
