So Jesus is God. Now What?

In light of last week’s revelation— Jesus as Messiah and God, and you being so important as to necessitate the death of that person— how ought we to live? Quit promoting yourself (v. 35). Make an actual place in your life for the seemingly insignificant (v. 37). Live up to your job as an example (v. 42). Prioritize your desires: what do you want more? (vv. 43-48) Prepare yourself for periods of testing— they’re coming, and you won’t spontaneously pass the test (v. 49). Be real Jesus-followers: live at peace with one another (v. 50). You can’t work on all these at the same time, but if you were to work on each of these for two months at a time, your life one year from today will be a true and noticeable and believable testimony that you are a follower of Jesus. Which one came flying off the page at you today? That’s where the Spirit wants you to start.
